Uh oh! We knew Kelly was not happy with the snide and ignorant remarks made by E!’s very own Giuliana Rancic about Zendaya’s hair last week at the Oscars. For those of you who do not know or remember, Rancic blurted out on screen that it looks that actress-singer Zendaya’s dreadlocked hair made it look as if she smelled of patchouli oil and weed. She said each of these words THREE DIFFERENT times on air, and an insider close to E! who was watching the filming of Fashion Police that day says “They did the Zendaya segment three times, and the producers still let Rancic’s racy comments fly”! Yikes!

Kelly took to her Twitter when all of this nonsense was super fresh and tweeted things such as: I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISIM, SO AS A RESULT OF ALL OF THIS I REALLY AM QUESTIONING STAYING ON THE SHOW!

Another Tweet of Ms. Osborne’s: You do realize @Zendaya is a friend right? I WILL NOT BE DRAGGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same!

Rancic took to her Twitter immediately as well and apologized to 18 year old Zendaya that way. It has been said that Zendaya has graciously accepted her apology, but we guess this was the breaking point for Osborne.

It has been confirmed today, February 27, 2015 that Kelly Osborne has officially left the show. Partially because of the controversy surrounding Rancic’s comments, but the insider close to Kelly and the show says she was unhappy with what the show now is, now that original host and comedian Joan Rivers has past away and is no longer with the show.

E! released this statement about Kelly’s departure today:“Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers,” E! said in a statement.
