Well guys, it’s happened again. Just two weeks later, after the not-so-shocking departure of Kelly Osbourne, it has just been announced that Kathy Griffin has departed from E’s “Fashion Police!”. In an official statement released by E!, the network states:

We can confirm that Kathy Griffin is leaving E!’s “Fashion Police.”  We wish her all the best and are grateful for her time on the show, as well as the many laughs that she gave us all.  “Fashion Police” will return, as scheduled, on Monday, March 30 at 9pm with our talented Co-Hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski and Executive Producer Melissa Rivers.  No further information is available at this time.

It was obvious from the start that the show would never be the same after the passing of the legendary Joan Rivers, but we don’t think anybody expected such a drastic, quick downfall of the show. “Fashion Police” has made quite the headlines these past few weeks ever since Giuliana Rancic’s offensive joke about Zendaya’s Oscars hair, saying her dread locks smelled like “weed and patchouli oil.” Kathy Griffin has also released a statement about her departure from the show saying:

After 7 episodes of Fashion Police, I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show & now it’s time to move on. I wish E! and the E! team only the best and I hope to continue to make you all laugh performing live or on television where I can be smart, irreverent, unrepentant, and unafraid in an observational way that is candid, honest, and justified.

Kathy’s statement was wonderful and well-spoken, although it makes us wonder a little bit about what actually went on behind the scenes of the show. Comment below and tell us what you think it may be!
